It has a castle with four towers, which were built by the English. The town-house is a large building with four great towers. The royal square is the handsomest in all Normandy, and has fine houses on three sides of it; and in the middle is the statue of Louis XIV. in a Roman habit, standing on a marble pedestal, and surrounded with an iron ballustrade.
