DOM PEDRO, a Spanish officer, who after having signalized himself in the military profession, quitted it for the ecclesiastical, and then commenced dramatic writer. His dramatic works make 9 vols. in 4to, and some Spanish authors have compared him to Shakespeare. He flourished about the year 1640.
