CRIB, the rack or manger of a stable, or the stall or cabin of an ox. It is also used for any small habitation, as a cottage, &c.

in the English salt-works, a name given to a sort of cage used in some places instead of the drab, to put the salt into as it is taken out of the boiling pan.
