anciently Iberus, a large river of Spain, which, taking its rise in Old Castile, runs through Biscay and Arragon, passes by Saragossa, and, continuing its course through Catalonia, discharges itself with great rapidity into the Mediterranean, about 20 miles below the city of Tortosa.
