Water Adder, a name given to the Coluber Natric. Adder-flung, is used in respect of cattle, when flung by any kind of venomous reptiles, as adders, scorpions, &c., or bit by a hedgehog or shrew.—For the cure of such bites, some use an ointment made of dragon's blood, with a little barley meal, and the whites of eggs.
