or Gobelet, a kind of drinking cup, or bowl, ordinarily of a round figure, and without either foot or handle. The word is French, gobele; which Salmius, and others, derive from the barbarous Latin cupa. Budeus deduces it from the Greek ἀντικλήσις, a sort of cup.
