Ancient Geography, a town of Infubria, situated to the east of Milan, between the rivers Addua and Lamber. A town built by the Boii after their passing the Alps; its ancient Gaulic name is unknown. Strabo Pompeius, father of Pompey, leading thither a colony, gave it a new name, and conferred the Jus Latii on the ancient inhabitants who remained there.
