Now Morano; a citadel in Calabria Citra, at the springs of the Sybaris, midway between the Sinus Tarentinus to the east, and the Tuscan sea to the west. Supposed to have arisen from the ruins of Syphaeum, a town of the Brutii mentioned by Livy.
