a territory of Great Poland, having on the north the duchy of Prussia, on the west the palatinate of Kalisk, and on the south those of Liciici and Rava, and on the east that of Ploczko. It contains two palatinates, the chief towns of which are Inowloez and Brest; as also Uladislav, the capital of the district.
