A company was incorporated for making, dressing, and lustrating alamodes and lustrings in England, who were to have the sole benefit thereof, by stat. 4 and 5 William and Mary. And no foreign silks known by the name of lustrings or alamodes are to be imported but at the port of London, &c. Stat. 9 and 10 William III, c. 43. See SILK.
