MAGNUS campus, in Ancient Geography, a tract lying towards Scythopolis, or Bethlan in Galilee, beyond which it extends into Samaria; Josephus placing the common boundary between these two districts in the Campus Magnus. Called also Edreron, (Judith); 30 miles long, and 18 broad; having Samaria with Mount Ephraim to the south, the lake Genesareth to the east, Mount Carmel to the west, and Lebanon to the north.
