a town of Siberia, which was founded by Peter the Great in 1707. It is provided with a garrison, to protect the hunters who are employed in catching martens and foxes on account of their furs, which are here an important article of commerce. It is situated in E. Long. 94° 5' N. Lat. 53° 32'.
