a disease frequent in Bengal and other parts of the Indies, in which the tongue is parched, chaps, and is sometimes covered with white spots. The Indians are very fearful of this disease, which they attribute to extreme heat of the stomach. Their remedy is, to drink some chalybeate liquor, or the juice of mint.
