a sect among the Mahometans who deny any eternal, fixed, divine decrees, and are adherents of free-will. The word is formed from the Arabic alkadár, which signifies "decree." The Alkadarii are a branch of Motazalites, and stand opposed to the Algiabarii. See ALGIABARI.
