Botrus, or Boftra, in Ancient Geography, a town of Phoenicia, on the Mediterranean, built by Saturn, (a proof at least of antiquity); twelve miles to the north of Byblus, and twenty to the south of Tripolis. Now almost in ruins, and called Boteron, or Boturn, (Ptolemy). E. Long. 37° 30'. N. Lat. 34° 6'.
