CYZICENA, among the ancient Greeks, were a fort of magnificent banqueting houses, always looking toward the north, and usually opening upon gardens.

They had their name from Cyzicus, a city very considerable for the grandeur of its buildings; situated in an island of Myfia, bearing the same name.
