or FENNINIA, in Ancient Geography, the true reading for Eningia in Pliny, which makes an island, but is more truly a peninsula. Now FINLAND, a province of Sweden. Fenni, or Finni, the people; whose ferocity was extraordinary, poverty extreme, herbs their food, skins their covering, and the ground their couch: regardless of man and of gods, they attained to a very difficult thing, not to have a finger with to form, (Tacitus).
