HARBOUROUGH, a town of Leicesterhire, 84 miles from London. It is a great thoroughfare in the road to Derby, near the source of the river Welland; and was famous, in Camden's time, for its beast fair, where the best horses and colts are still sold. Its fairs are April 29, and Oct. 19. The market is on Tuesday, for the use of which the earl of Harborough built a neat market-house, at his own expense. W. Long. c. 56. N. Lat. 52. 20.
