The calyx is composed of five short oval imbricated leaves; the corolla is monophyllous and funnel-shaped; the margin hypocrateriform; the stigma is quadrifid. One species only has been discovered, *fempervirens*, which is a shrub with round, polished, shining stems, which climb on bushes and small trees.
