On the borders of Galilee (Joshua xix.) said to be one of the towns of Issachar.—The valley of Jezreel (Judges vi. 17.) was situated to the north of the town, running from west to east for ten miles, between two mountains; the one to the north, commonly called Hermon, near Mount Tabor; the other Gilboa: in breadth two miles.
