a town of Germany, in the circle of Swabia, and in Algow, with a castle. It is capital of a small territory between the rivers Iller and Lech, subject to the house of Bavaria. It was taken by the Imperialists after the battle of Hochflét, who erected it into a principality in favour of the duke of Marlborough; but it returned back to the house of Bavaria by the treaty of Rastadt.
