Now Morano; a citadel in Calabria Citra, at the springs of the Sybaris, midway between the Sinus Tarcentinus to the east, and the Tuscan sea to the west. Supposed to have arisen from the ruins of Syphæum, a town of the Bruttii mentioned by Livy.
