(Antonine), a town of the Helvetii, situated between the Lacus Laufonius and Salodurum; called Petenifca by Peutinger. Thought now to be Biel, (Cluverius); the capital of a small territory in Switzerland.

PENEUS, (Strabo); a river running through the middle of Thessaly, from west to east, into the Sinus Thermaicus, between Olympus and Olfa, near Tempe of Thessaly, rising in Mount Pindus, (Ovid, Val. Flaccus).
