ceremony in the Romish church, consisting of a formal march of the clergy and people, putting up prayers, &c. and in this manner visiting some church, &c. They have also processions of the host or sacrament, &c. See Host.

Procheinamy, in Law, the person next akin to a child in non-age, and who, in that respect, is allowed to act for him, and be his guardian, &c. if he hold land in socage.

To sue, an infant is not allowed to make an attorney; but the court will admit his next friend as plaintiff, or his guardian as defendant.
