(quietus redditus; i.e., "quiet rent;")** is a certain small rent payable by the tenants of manors, in token of subjection, and by which the tenant goes quiet and free. In ancient records it is called white rent, because paid in silver money, to distinguish it from rent-corn, &c.

**QUAD HOC,** is a term used in the pleadings and arguments of lawyers; being as much as to say, As to this thing the law is so and so.
