is a small town of Italy, in the Ecclesiastic State, and Patrimony of St Peter, in E. Long. 12° 8'. N. Lat. 42° and 25 miles N. from Rome. It had a pretty good trade, and was one of the richest in the province, while it belonged to the dukes of Parma, which was till 1649, when Pope Innocent X. became master of it, and it has ever since continued in the possession of his successors.
