Ptolemy places them between the Cauchi and Suevi or Catti. Supposed now to contain a part of the county of Schaumburg, the half of the bishopric or principality of Minden to the south, the greatest part of the bishopric of Osnaburg, the north part of the country of Teclenburg, and a part of the county of Ravensburg. A trace of the name of the people still remains in the appellation Enegen, a small town in the county of Ravensburg.
