in Ancient Geography, a town of Mysia, on the sea-coast, at the foot of Mount Alexandria, a part of Mount Ida, (Strabo, Ptolemy); it was a town of the Leleges, (Strabo); anciently called Edonis, then Cimmeris, (Pliny, Stephanus). It takes its name from Antandros, a general of the Æolians: it is now called S. Dimitri.
