For this purpose the bottle should be a little inclined, and about half a spoonful of the liquor poured out, so as to admit an equal quantity of air; let one end of the bent tube be stopped with the finger, whilst the other is thrust into the body of the liquor near to the bubble of air already admitted. When the finger is taken off, the bottle will have vent, and the liquor will run out steadily and undisturbed.
