Arragers, Arraitores, is used in some ancient statutes, for such officers as had care of the soldiers armour, and saw them duly accoutred in their kinds. In some reigns, commissioners have been appointed for this purpose. Such were the commissioners of array appointed by King Charles I. in the year 1642.
