a town of Asia, in Hindostan, better known by the name of Hyderabad. It is situated on the south bank of the river Musa, six miles from the strong fortress of Golconda. It is a fine and populous city, about seven miles in circumference, and is surrounded by a wall as a security against sudden incursions.
