in Ancient Geography, an ancient name of Bithynia, so called from the Bebryces its inhabitants. The Bebryces were afterwards driven out by the Thracians, viz. the Bithyni and Thyni: from whom, in process of time, the country took the name of Bithynia. See BITHYNIA.
