town of Devonshire, with a market on Saturdays, and two fairs, on May 13th and October 10th, for horned cattle. It contains 1230 inhabitants, and lies on the road from Exeter to Plymouth, being 26 miles south-west from the former, and 198 west by south of London. W. Long. 5° 7'. N. Lat. 50° 30'.
