a town of Glamorganshire in South Wales, seated between the rivers Taaff and Rumney, in a moorish ground among the hills. It is thought the walls, now in ruins, were built by the Romans; there being often Roman coins dug up there. W. Long. 3° 12'. N. Lat. 51° 25'.
