in Ancient Geography, a town and river of Bithynia, which gave name to the Sinus Cianus. The town was afterwards called Prussia, Cius having been destroyed by Philip father of Perseus, and rebuilt by Prusias king of Bithynia. In the river, Hylas, the favourite boy of Hercules, was drowned; (Apollonius Rhodius).
