-orum, in Ancient Geography, an island opposite to Malles, a promontory, and to Boire a town of Lascinia. The island was sacred to Venus, with a very ancient temple of that goddess exhibited in armour at Cythera, as in Cyprus. It is now called Cerigo, and forms one of the seven Ionian islands.
