wick, from which place it is distant six miles. W. Long. 1° 50'. N. Lat. 55° 50'. It gave title of baron in the kingdom of Scotland to Churchill, afterwards the great duke of Marlborough; but he having no male issue, it became extinct. Population 962 in 1811.
