Volume 11 · 73 words · 1823 Edition

Dr Campbell distinguishes different sorts of intuitive evidence; one resulting purely from intlection, or that faculty which others have called intuition; another kind arising from consciousness; and a third sort from that new-named faculty Common Sense, which this ingenious writer, as well as several others, contends to be a distinct original source of knowledge; whilst others refer its supposed office to the intuitive power of the understanding.
