the beginning of the day, or the time of the sun rising. The astronomers reckon morning, mane, from the time of midnight to that of mid-day. Thus an eclipse is said to begin at 11 o'clock in the morning, &c.

Morning star, is the planet Venus, when a little to the westward of the sun; that is, when she rises a little before. In this situation she is called by the Greeks Phosphorus; by the Latins Lucifer, &c.
