Now Morano; a citadel in Calabria Citra, at the springs of the Sybaris, midway between the Sinus Tarentinus to the east, and the Tuscan sea to the west. Supposed to have risen from the ruins of Syphneum, a town of the Bruttii mentioned by Livy.
