(Strabo, Pliny), two small islands in the Tuscan sea, over against Velia, a town of Lucania, called Pontia and Ischia; now Penza and Ischia, on the coast of the Principato Citra, or to the west of Naples. So called from the Oenotrii, an ancient people of Italy.
