or Calmar, a province in the south of Sweden, which makes part of Gothland. It is about 112 miles in length, and 62 in breadth, and contains about 4200 square miles. In 1828 it contained 66,121 tunnars or about 80,000 acres of arable land, and 136,296 inhabitants. Calmar is the capital town.
