a town and hereditary magistracy. belonging to the mediatized prince of Fugger-Babenhausen, now a part of the circle of the Upper Danube, in the kingdom of Bavaria. The district comprehends four market-towns, ten feudal castles, and sixty-one villages, with 11,156 inhabitants. The town, the residence of the prince, is on the river Gunz, and contains, besides his castle, about 300 houses and 2000 inhabitants.
