Charles Cesar, a learned advocate in the parliament of Paris, distinguished by his skill in ancient monuments, was received into the Academy of Belles Lettres in 1705. He wrote a Treatise on the Ad- vantages of Travelling, Letters and Dissertations on Me- dals, &c.; and died in 1722, aged 74.
