a town in the circle of Leutmeritz, in the Austrian kingdom of Bohemia, on the river Biela. It is celebrated for its mineral springs, the water of which resembles that of Selzir, and for its preparations from it of Epsom salts and magnesia. The vicinity is most abundantly furnished with fossil coal. The resident inhabitants are about 1700, besides numerous occasional visitors.
