BRENNAGIUM, in the writers of the middle ages, a kind of tribute paid in lieu of bran, or bran itself, which the tenants were obliged to furnish for the support of the lord's hounds. The word is also written brengage, brengagium; and brengage, brengagium, brengaticum, and brengaticum.
