a small town in the department of the Loire and Cher, in France, with 470 inhabitants. Adjoining to it, and in the midst of an extensive park, is the royal palace built by Francis I. It was given by Louis XV. to the celebrated Marshal Saxe, and at his death reverted to the crown. It was subsequently granted by Bonaparte to Berthier, created Duke of Wagram, and since his death has again been vested in the crown.
