CHINNACHIN

a town of Northern Hindustan, in the district of Jemlah, of which it is the capital, and tributary to the rajah of Nepaul. It is situated in a valley bounded on the north side by the Himalaya mountains, between the Chinachin and Kurnaid rivers. This town is the frontier station of Nepaul, and is the best route for supplying the north-west part of Tibet with goods. It is a month's journey for the caravan from Catmandoo. Long. 81.35. E.
