Peter Marcellinus, a learned civilian and cardinal, born at Sezza in 1658, acquired the esteem and confidence of Clement XI, and died at Rome in 1743. He was the author of a learned and curious work, entitled *Vetus Latium profanum et sacrum*, 2 vols. folio; and a History of Sezza, in 4to.
