a bailiwick of the circle of the Upper Danube, in the kingdom of Bavaria, extending over 130 square miles. It contains two cities, two market-towns, and forty-eight villages, with 18,620 inhabitants. It is a fertile district, productive of corn, cattle, hops, flax, and timber. The capital is a city of the same name, situated at the point where the Guntz falls into the Danube.
